Verona Road Development Planning Commission Virtual Meeting, Tomorrow night 6/23 at 5:30pm

Updated: 13 minutes ago

Hello Neighbors,

The redevelopment of 4506 & 4514 Verona Road (Feiler's Restaurant and Nakoma Plaza Repair) is on the agenda for the City Planning Commission held tomorrow night, Monday 5/23 at 5:30pm. The public meeting was postponed twice and will not be held tomorrow. Lincoln Avenue Capital will be presenting written responses to the city recommendations. The Planning Commission meeting will be held virtually, and I encourage neighbors to learn about the project, write comments to the planning commission (note: it must say 'for public publication') and register to talk at tommorrow nights meeting. ORNA is taking a stance to require a traffic study of the area before approval is granted. We are asking for this because the developers have not completed a traffic study and there are no plans to complete one. The new building would be comprised of 45 one-bedroom, 23 two-bedroom and 25 three-bedroom units for a total of 93 apartments and is expected to bring 100-150 more cars of traffic into the area.

ORNA had 57 neighbors sign the petition and Val Schend, ORNA Secratary, will be speaking on ORNA's behalf to request the traffic study. There is still time to sign the petition at the link below.

Petition Language

“We the undersigned hereby request a traffic study to be completed on Verona Frontage Road, Service Road, Hammersley Road and Reetz Road before approval is granted for the 4514 & 4506 Verona Road development."

Please register to speak and/or register if you support or oppose Agenda topic#8 4506-4514 Verona Road project below. Responses and registrations need to be submitted by 3pm tommorrow.
