Ridgewood Pool Continues Fundraising Push

By Rebbecca Haushalter and Cherie Olsen

In the fall of 2022, the neighborhood will see wonderful progress begin on a new Ridgewood Pool with the Findorff Company. The project will culminate with a new main pool, baby pool, pool building, and snack shack, as well as major improvements to the dive well and upper pool.

Total gifts and pledges to the Ed Nebbins Foundation have reached more than $2,800,000 which puts the pool at 73% of the $3.8 million estimated cost to rebuild. More than 500 individuals and businesses have made pledges. If you would like to be involved by purchasing a paver or in any other way, please visit ednebbinsfoundation.org

Another exciting part of the Foundation’s future will be to provide swim lessons to children who would not otherwise have access to lessons, and to help Veterans experience the benefits of swimming.

Ridgewood will also host the All-City Swim meet in 2022. Volunteering to help with the meet is a great way to have fun and see some amazing swimmers. There is much excitement and planning underway as we prepare for a momentous year of hosting the Madison swim community and breaking ground on a new Ridgewood for generations to come!

Rebbecca Haushalter is Vice President of the Ed Nebbins Foundation and co-chair of the ORNA Events committee. Cherie Olsen is chair of the ORNA Welcome committee.
